Legislative News & Alerts
Support your profession by protecting art therapists' interests and their rights to practice throughout the US. The Governmental Affairs Committee (GAC) is involved with a number of initiatives with the Federal Government and state legislatures. The Committee and staff work with State Chapters, for example, to help them get licensure laws passed and impact regulations to ensure that members maintain their right to practice. At the Federal level, we are working with members of Congress to help art therapists get recognition in applicable federal laws and to educate policymakers and decision-makers about art therapy.
