Executive Team
The Executive Team is the core of the organization helping to support more than 5,000 members of the American Art Therapy Association and the important work of hundreds of volunteers serving on its Board and Committees. The student interns volunteered for special projects throughout the year. Thanks to our current interns for their dedicated work.

Susan Corrigan The Executive Team is headed by our Executive Director, Susan Corrigan. Ms. Corrigan, a respected leader in the national/international non-profit sector for nearly three decades, has provided her proven organizational and resource development skills to assist nonprofit organizations improve performance, increase resources, and plan for sustained growth. Her expertise has proven effective worldwide in building organizations, programs, and relationships that achieve results.

Donald Marshall The Chief Financial Officer, Donald K. Marshall, CPA, CGFM, CFE, is the Audit & Accounting Department Director in the firm of Dembo, Jones, Healy, Pennington & Marshall (DJHPM, Inc) and oversees the financial management of the organization. |

Michele Basham Michele Basham serves as our Director, Membership Information and Programs. She is an accomplished membership and marketing specialist who has over 17 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She is responsible for the oversight and management of membership renewal, customer service programs, web design, and management of the information management system.

Julie Clark Julie Clark, our Director of Public Policy, is an attorney with over 20 years of government affairs experience at the local, state and federal levels, having provided leadership on mental health, health care, disability, and employment policy for nonprofits and the federal government. She has published numerous online and print resources, and is an experienced trainer on legal and policy issues related to mental health, health insurance, and benefits and services for children and adults with disabilities. During her career she has been an effective and accomplished advocate and project manager, with a strong commitment to collaboration, diversity, and grassroots participation in all aspects of policy work.

Barbara Florence Director, Development Member Benefits and Resources, Barbara Florence leads the membership development and benefits program and the resource development initiatives in concert with the Membership Committee and Executive Director. She brings more than 20 years experience in corporate relationship development leading to over $500 million dollars annually in member benefits for the 200,000 charity members of Gifts In Kind. Her training and communications skills honed at the United Way of America will be a valuable asset as the Association increases its membership base. |

Shari Bolouri Shari Bolouri serves as our Operations Manager. She has over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector as a program manager and an administrator. Her extensive community involvement in the political sector and fundraising and events management is additional experience that she brings to the Executive Team. Shari is responsible for the office operations and provides support to a number of American Art Therapy Association volunteer committees.
