Emergency Relief in Haiti

The American Art Therapy Association joins with others around the world in supporting relief efforts addressing the overwhelming devastation in Haiti. We encourage members to consider supporting the various emergency relief efforts currently underway.

To do so, please refer to the USAID web site to submit your interest in volunteering with crisis intervention services in Haiti.  Complete the online form on the web site, and the information you provide will be made available to Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) or other members of the public that are USAID recognized. When your services are required, you will be contacted directly by a USAID recognized NGO. This is the most effective way to provide art therapy services in an environment which is expected to remain in the relief state for some time to come.

As the plans of the major health agencies operating in disasters are expanded, additional links to sites requesting volunteers will be posted.
