If you would like to submit an article or announcement for inclusion in the Quarterly Newsletter, please read the guidelines below. Newsletter Deadline Dates for Submission of Material for Publication:

Winter Issue: January 1
Spring Issue: April 1
Summer Issue: June 1
Fall Issue: September 1

Deadlines for all contributions to the Newsletter will be strictly observed in order to ensure each issue is published and distributed to the membership in a timely manner. We appreciate your understanding that there will be no exceptions! Information received after the published deadline date will be held for publication in the next available issue. Please send all articles, announcements, advertisements and other accepted information to: newsletter@arttherapy.org. You will receive an acknowledgment email of receipt with the instructions about next steps.

Here are some tips for your submissions:

►Communicate briefly – there are specific guidelines on the number of words that are permitted for the various sections. Only electronic submissions will be accepted.
►No anonymous contributions will be accepted.
►Drawings and photographs will be returned only if accompanied by a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope. Please caption all photos.
►All contributions are made with the understanding that they may be edited for clarity and placement purposes.
►Electronic submissions of photos and advertisements must be provided as .jpeg or .pdf files at full reproduction size with  a minimum resolution of 300 ppi.

  • The Conference Committee, through its planning and implementation of the Annual AATA Conferences, provides professional development opportunities for art therapy professionals, students, professional colleagues and members of the general public. Through conference courses, oral presentations, experiential workshops and interactive forums, participants can discuss current theories, explore new techniques, acquire or refine skills and, in general, increase their knowledge and understanding of the field of art therapy.
